World Cup: Tuchel doesn’t know what it means to play against Haaland, Ødegaard – Jude Bellingham

Date:

England midfielder, Jude Bellingham, has suggested that his manager, Thomas Tuchel does not understand what it means to face the Norwegian top stars in a World Cup semi-finals game.

Bellingham said that Tuchel’s remarks after England’s 2-1 victory over Norway in the quarterfinals meant the German tactician does not understand what it means to come up against the likes of Erling Haaland, Martin Ødegaard, Antonio Nusa and Alexander Sørloth.

The Bellingham netted two goals as the Three Lions rallied from behind to secure a win against the Vikings after extra time.

In his post-match media address, Tuchel expressed his displeasure with the team’s performance despite the victory.

When Bellingham was asked for his opinion on the manager’s statements, he promptly disagreed.

The Real Madrid midfielder remarked that it was a challenging match made more difficult by the quality of players at Norway’s disposal.

The Real Madrid midfield told the press after the game, “Maybe he [Tuchel] doesn’t know what it’s like to play in those conditions against Haaland, Ødegaard, Nusa and Sørloth.

“That’s not an easy team to play against.”

Tuchel had praised Bellingham describing him as a world-class star. However, the former Chelsea manager expressed dissatisfaction with the team’s overall performance, indicating that they made things difficult for themselves.

The German coach noted that the team was careless, hasty, and committed technical errors. He opined that they were lucky to advance.

England is set to face either Argentina in the semifinals.
