Nigeria’s Super Falcons will resume full training on Monday evening as preparations intensify for their decisive final Group C fixture against Egypt at the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco.
The training session, scheduled to begin at 6:00 p.m. local time, will take place at the ASFAR Training Centre in Rabat, where head coach Justine Madugu is expected to fine-tune his tactics ahead of Wednesday’s encounter.
The nine-time African champions had a light recovery session and other in-house activities on Sunday after grinding out a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Zambia at the Al Madina Stadium on Saturday night.
Asisat Oshoala’s early strike secured Nigeria’s first win of the tournament, while the Super Falcons showed remarkable resilience to hold on for all three points despite playing the entire second half with 10 players following Oluwatosin Demehin’s red card just before the interval.

The victory revived Nigeria’s quarter-final hopes after their disappointing 3-2 defeat to tournament debutants Malawi in their opening Group C match.
Madugu’s side will now shift their focus to Egypt, with victory expected to be enough to seal a place in the knockout stage.
The Super Falcons will also be targeting an emphatic result to strengthen their position in the group and build momentum heading into the quarter-finals.
Egypt lost their opening two games, 6-0 to Zambia, and 3-1 against Malawi.
Wednesday’s Group C encounter will be played at the Olympic Stadium in Rabat, with the Super Falcons aiming to finish the group phase on a high, and continue their quest for a record-extending 11th WAFCON title.
