PRP denies Kwankwaso bought 69 nomination forms

Date:

The Peoples Redemption Party (PRP) has rejected allegations that former Kano State Governor Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso bought 69 nomination forms to take control of the party ahead of the 2027 elections.

Recall that Abdulkadir Musa Giza, who identified himself as the chairman of the North-West Stakeholders Forum of the PRP, claimed Kwankwaso has taken over the party structure.

However, speaking to journalists on Monday, PRP secretary Alhaji Musa Maigari described the allegation as false, insisting that Kwankwaso neither purchased nomination forms nor has any official connection with the party.

“As it stands, all positions in PRP have been filled. Primary elections are over, and every political party has concluded its primaries,” he said.

Maigari also questioned the credibility of the source of the allegation, saying, “The man who raised these allegations is not even our member. It is laughable at this time, when primaries are over, someone is talking about primaries or nomination forms.”

He further stated that the alleged North-West Stakeholders Forum is not recognised by the PRP and stressed that there is no record showing that Kwankwaso or any of his representatives bought nomination forms from the party.

According to him, the timing of the allegation is suspicious, as the party has already completed its primary elections for the next electoral cycle.

He urged the public to ignore what he described as baseless rumours and rely only on information released through the party’s official channels.
