OFFICIAL: Mudryk Joins Tottenham On Loan

Chelsea have announced that Mykhailo Mudryk has joined London rivals Tottenham Hotspur on a season-long loan move.

The Blues, in a statement, wrote on their website:”Chelsea winger Mykhailo Mudryk has joined Tottenham Hotspur on a season-long loan.

“Signed from Shakhtar Donetsk in January 2023, the Ukraine international has made 73 appearances for the Blues and scored ten goals.

“Mudryk helped the Blues reach the Carabao Cup final during his first full season at the club and featured en route to our UEFA Conference League triumph.

“We look forward to monitoring and supporting Misha throughout his time at Spurs.

“Good luck, Misha.”

With limited first-team prospects under new manager Xabi Alonso (a crowded attacking group and the need for regular minutes after the long layoff), Chelsea made Mudryk available for loan.

Interest came from clubs including Leeds, but Tottenham emerged as the preferred destination late in the 2026 summer window.

Spurs, managed by Roberto De Zerbi (who coached Mudryk at Shakhtar and knows his strengths in isolating wingers in one-vs-one situations), agreed the loan with a non-mandatory option to buy reported at around £75m.

Mudryk arrived as one of European football’s most exciting young wide talents but left as a player whose potential remained largely unrealised at Stamford Bridge due to adaptation challenges, competition for places, and the lengthy suspension.

The loan offers a fresh start in familiar surroundings with a coach who previously unlocked him, while allowing Chelsea to protect a long-contracted asset. Whether he can rebuild match sharpness and deliver consistently will define the next chapter of his career.​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​
