2027: No political ambition worth destroying ADC’s unity – Malami to party members

Date:

The African Democratic Congress, ADC, governorship candidate in Kebbi State, Abubakar Malami, has insisted that no political ambition is worth causing disagreement and splitting up the party.

Malami, a former Attorney General of the Federation, AGF, and Minister of Justice, urged members of the opposition party to be united ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Speaking during the inauguration of the 600-member ADC Campaign Council in the state, Malami disclosed that party members should stay united because they would still worship together and attend the same markets after elections.

“Where there are disagreements, let us reconcile. Where there are grievances, let us listen. When there’s doubt, let’s work to restore faith. Our diversity must become our strength.

“Different candidates, one ADC. Different communities, one Kebbi State. Different responsibilities, one common purpose,” he declared.

The former AGF emphasized that people who feel aggrieved should try to settle their disagreements by talking and discussing with each other, instead of letting the disagreements turn into public fights.

He added: “After the elections, we will continue to worship together, go to the same markets, celebrate together, grieve together, and raise our children together. No political goal is worth breaking those relationships.

“We choose unity over division. We choose cooperation over rivalry. We choose reconciliation over bitterness. We choose respect over insults. We choose to put service before our own interests.”
