2027: APP prepared to contest elections in lmo – Njesi

Date:

The Action Peoples Party, APP, in Imo State says it is fully prepared to contest the 2027 general elections and believes it will win.

During a press conference in Owerri, the party’s chairman, Chief Ernest Njesi, said the party has already uploaded all its candidates to INEC.

These include 3 candidates for the Senate, 10 candidates for the House of Representatives, and 27 candidates for the Imo State House of Assembly.

He said the party will continue visiting communities across Imo State to encourage people to support the APP and educate voters about its programmes.

Njesi also announced that the party’s leader in Imo State, Dr Chima Matthew Amadi, plans to contest for the Imo East (Owerri Zone) Senate seat in 2027.

He added that after the Senate election, Dr Amadi intends to pursue his ambition of becoming the Governor of Imo State.

The APP leadership also condemned what it described as an attack on its state secretariat and the destruction of one of its billboards.

The party alleged that political opponents were responsible and said such actions would not stop it from participating in the elections.

The party’s Publicity Secretary, Amb. Steve Nnadi, called on journalists to report the truth without fear and urged Imo residents to support and vote for the APP in the 2027 elections.

“The APP is telling the people of Imo State that it is ready for the 2027 elections, has chosen its candidates, believes it can win, and says it will not be intimidated by alleged political attacks.”
