U-17 WWCQ: Flamingos Secure Friendly Win Ahead Benin Clash

Nigeria’s Flamingos defeated Dream Star Ladies 3-0 in friendly at the Remo Stars Sports Complex, Ikenne on Saturday.

The friendly is part of the team’s preparation for the 2026 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup qualifying tie against Benin Republic.

It marked the Flamingos’ first preparation game since arriving in Ikenne for the final round of the qualifiers.

Mary Dunstan gave the Flamingos the lead in the 24th minute.

Akeem Busari’s side scored two goals in the second half through Queen Joseph, and Oluwakemi Adegbuyi.

Nigeria will host Benin’s Young Amazons in the first leg at the Remo Stars Sports Complex, Ikenne on Saturday, 4 July.

The reverse fixture will hold at the Stade de Kegue, Lome one week later.
