EPL: Jamie Redknapp names Arsenal’s biggest title rivals after Man City defeat

Date:

Former England midfielder, Jamie Redknapp, has picked Brighton as the team to challenge Arsenal for the Premier League title this season.

Redknapp, speaking on Sky Sports, claimed the Gunners will "run away" with the title.

On Saturday, Arsenal opened a six-point gap at the top of the table, thanks to a 1-0 win over Hull and Manchester City's 3-1 loss at Nottingham Forest.

It was City's third straight defeat in the league.

Brighton will overtake City and move into second if they beat Brentford on Sunday.

"They [Man City] obviously miss Semenyo, he’s a big player for them in the wide areas but they’ve still got people in wide positions who can cause problems," Redknapp told Sky Sports.

"That one today is a sore one, it gives you the feeling right now in terms of who can challenge Arsenal? I just don’t see one.

"If you look at the league table, I think right now, probably the one you’d point to, and I never thought I’d say this at the start of the year, but it’s Brighton."
