This is coming after Alli presented his manifesto on Tuesday.

Makinde while reacting, noted that the document presented by Alli lacks originality.

The governor, in the statement, explained that the things highlighted in the manifesto by the APC candidate are the things he is already executing.

He described the document as one short on originality.

He added that the document is nothing but recycled promises.

Makinde described the time used to prepare the document as wasted.

He also disclosed that the document failed to address the current realities of governance in the state.

The governor further said that he expected Alli to present a document that will show not only a desire to govern, but a unique understanding of how governance can be improved in the state.

Makinde in the statement said, "In the end, the document is rich in rhetoric but poor in innovation, heavy on promises but light on original thinking. And for a candidate seeking to lead one of Nigeria's most important states, that is a serious cause for concern."
