1xCup 2026: Emmanuel Ben Hat-Trick Helps Kiraa Devour Adhoc

Date:

Emmanuel Ben emerged as the man of the match following his hat-trick which helped Kiraa FA to devour Adhoc FA 3-0 in the 1xCup 2026 round of 50 match played at the Inspire Sports Ground, Cappa, Oshodi, Lagos on Friday.

With both teams representing the Ikorodu zone, Kiraa showed more hunger and enthusiasm to win the game and it was no surprise when they shot into a 17th minute lead courtesy of Ben whose goal was assisted by Emmanuel Tomiwa.

The first half ended 1-0 in favour of Kiraa but in the 35th minute, Ben got his brace to increase his side’s lead to two with the Adhoc players looking downcast after the ball hit the back of their net.

Ben was not done as he went all out to get his hat-trick, a feat he achieved in the 61st minute, with his third goal of the encounter set up by Abang Isaiah to wrap up a wonderful day for Kiraa as they zoomed into the group stage of the competition.

1xCup is Lagos’ premier grassroots football tournament, founded in 2023 to create a professional-grade competitive platform for grassroots players. The tournament brings together 100 clubs across five divisions, giving talented players greater visibility and a pathway to professional football.

One of the major innovations unveiled for the 2026 edition is a significantly expanded talent identification programme. The organisers have invested heavily in player development and scouting to ensure talented footballers receive greater exposure.

For the first time, every player has an individual digital profile supported by performance records and highlight videos throughout the competition. This is because the organizers want scouts and clubs around the world to evaluate players even if they cannot attend matches physically.
